What Authentic Means to Us

In the hobby industry, the word “authentic” gets used loosely. At Sealed Republic, it means something specific:

Our Zero Tolerance Policy

Sealed Republic maintains an absolute zero tolerance policy for the following practices:

🚫 Resealed Products

Resealing — the practice of opening a factory sealed case, removing desirable contents, and resealing it to appear untouched — is one of the most damaging practices in the hobby community.

We will never sell a resealed product. Ever.

Every case we receive from our distributors is inspected for seal integrity before it enters our inventory. Any case showing signs of tampering is immediately quarantined and returned to the distributor — it never reaches our customers.

🚫 Weight Sorting

Weight sorting involves weighing individual packs to identify heavier packs that are statistically more likely to contain rare cards, then removing them before selling the case.

We do not weigh, sort, or selectively remove any packs from any case we sell.

Cases are stored and shipped in their complete, unaltered factory configuration.

🚫 Counterfeit Products

Counterfeit hobby products — fake cards, fake cases, fake packaging — are a growing problem in the industry.

Every product we sell comes from authorized hobby distributors who source directly from manufacturers. This eliminates the possibility of counterfeit products entering our inventory.

🚫 Unauthorized Sources

We do not purchase inventory from:

• Unverified wholesalers
• Liquidation platforms
• Secondary market resellers
• Unknown or unvetted sources
• Any source that cannot provide proof of authorized distribution

Every product at Sealed Republic follows a verified chain of custody:

At no point in this chain does any product leave authorized hands or have its factory seal compromised.

Pre-Shipment Inspection Process

Every order at Sealed Republic goes through a pre-shipment inspection before it is packed and shipped:

1. ✅ Seal integrity check — factory shrink wrap examined for punctures, tears, or re-sealing marks
2. ✅ Weight consistency check — case weight verified against manufacturer specifications
3. ✅ Packaging condition check — outer box examined for damage, crushing, or tampering
4. ✅ Label verification — manufacturer labels, lot numbers, and barcodes verified as authentic
5. ✅ Photography — high-risk or high-value orders photographed before shipment for dispute protection

If any case fails our inspection, it is immediately removed from inventory and returned to the distributor. It will never be shipped to a customer.

What Happens If You Receive a Compromised Product

In the extremely unlikely event that you receive a product that does not meet our authenticity standard:

1. Stop — do not open the product further
2. Photograph — take clear photos of the seal, packaging, and any signs of tampering
3. Email us immediately at orders@sealedrepublic.com with your order number and photos
4. We will investigate within 1 business day
5. Resolution: full replacement or full refund — your choice
6. We will work with our distributor to identify and remove the compromised source

We have never knowingly shipped a compromised product. If it ever happens, we will make it right — completely and immediately.
